Report Information Agency receives sports award Zafar-2024

The Zafar-2024 Awards ceremony, established by Sportsman magazine, was held in Baku to honor distinguished individuals and organizations in sports.

According to Report, the event was attended by Olympic medalists, World and European champions, representatives of federations and clubs, as well as other members of the sports community.

The editor-in-chief of Sportsman magazine, Rashad Gamarshahoghlu, spoke about the success of Azerbaijani athletes in international competitions last year. He expressed confidence that there would be even more achievements in 2025 and emphasized President Ilham Aliyev's special role in developing Azerbaijani sports. The award ceremony followed.

Report Information Agency won in the "News Agency of the Year" category.

The first issue of Sportsman magazine was published on January 31, 2004. Along with promoting sports and the Olympic movement, the magazine established the Zafar Award in 2007 with the support of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Youth and Sports to recognize high sporting achievements. This award is presented to athletes, coaches, specialists who have achieved the highest sports results, as well as various organizations supporting Azerbaijani sports.
