President of Int’l Chess Federation to visit Azerbaijan

President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Arkady Dvorkovich will visit Azerbaijan, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijan Chess Federation.

The main purpose of the FIDE president’s visit is to participate in the opening ceremony of the international chess festival Baku Open-2023, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.

The festival starts on May 4.

During the visit, the head of FIDE will also hold a number of meetings.
