Pakistani judokas will not take part in Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku because of disagreements

Baku. 12 January. REPORT.AZ/ Pakistani judokas will not take part in Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku because of disagreements. Report informs citing thePakistan Olympic Association POA, judokas were not included in the 200-member delegation because of disagreements between Pakistan Olympic Association and Pakistan Judo Federation.

 The Association argues that the PJF has not complied with the legal requirements in last year's elections.Currently, the country is on the 9th place among the 22 Asian and Islamic states and on 12th place among all Islamic countries in the world. Among the 4 men and 4 women who were offered to participate in Islamic Solidarity Games, Hussein Shah (100 kg) who took part in the Summer Olympic Games, "Rio 2016".

Along with this, the government of Pakistan wants athletes to participate in the Games in Baku.

The country will be represented in athletics, basketball, boxing, handball, karate, shooting, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling, wushu.

Notably, IV Islamic Solidarity Games will be held on May 12-22.
