Baku. 19 October. REPORT.AZ/ The International Handball Federation (IHF) has decided to increase the number of teams in world championships among men and women.
Report informs citing the official website of Federation that the decision was adopted at the IHF Congress in Doha, Qatar. The number of teams that will take part in the World Championships has increased from 24 to 32.
Notably, this decision will come into force in 2021. That year the men's world championships will be held in Egypt and the women's mundial in Spain. A remarkable race for men has been held since 1938, while for women since 1957.
