Kobe World Para Athletics Championships deferred to 2022

The World Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan have been rescheduled to 26 August-4 September 2022. Report informs referring to the paralympic.org.
The decision follows the postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games to 2021 due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
The Kobe World Championships were initially scheduled for 17-26 September 2021 but have been shifted to 2022 to avoid a clash with the Paralympics.
This will be 10th edition of the World Championships with around 1,300 athletes from 100 countries set to compete at the Universiade Memorial Stadium.
