Japanese athletes hold skiing master class in Shahdag

Organized by the Azerbaijani Winter Sports Federation and the Shahdag Tourism Center, with the support of the Japanese Embassy in Baku, a master class on the mogul freestyle skiing was held for the first time for skiers, Report informs, citing the Federation.

The purpose of the training is to popularize winter sports in Azerbaijan, in particular freestyle, as well as support the training of local athletes and specialists.

During the training, the Olympians and specialists from Japan demonstrated in practice the features and rules of mogul to local skiers and ski instructors.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada also attended the event as a guest.

Freestyle is an Olympic skiing sport that includes ski acrobatics, mogul, ski cross, halfpipe and slopestyle.
