Italian police raid hotel rooms of Russian biathlon team

Police are conducting searches in hotel rooms where biathletes from the Russian team are staying during the World Cup in Italy, RIA Novosti reports.

The first vice-president of the Russian Biathlon Union, Aleksey Nuzhdov, said the police officers seized laptops during the raid.

"That's the only thing known by now," he added.

The biathlon world championship has been held in the Italian Antholz-Anterselva since February 13.
