Israeli Consul General: I liked Azerbaijani government’s approach to sport

Report informs, Consul General of Israel in St. Petersburg, Russia, told in his interview with SportsDaily.

While speaking about insufficient development of sport in Israel, he told that he works in Russia for several years, and that came to Russia from Azerbaijan. He told he was impressed with the support to sport in Azerbaijan:

“Azerbaijan can be compared with Israel in terms of population. I like Azerbaijani government’s approach to sport. Small countries don’t need to develop all types of sport. It is much rational to invest to most popular sports among population; this will yield results”.
