Ismayil Ismayilov: '24 Azerbaijani athletes unjustly faced with doping problem'

Baku. 21 June. REPORT.AZ/ "Today, all over the world has the problem of doping. We can say that the World Anti-Doping Agency shows an injustice to many athletes."

Report informs, it was stated by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov during a speech at a meeting of Youth and Sports Committee of the Milli Majlis.

According to him, there are several medications that can really create serious problems for athletes.

I.Ismayilov reminded that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has been fighting against doping. He noted that in 2011 on doping in weightlifting caught 27 countries, in 2012 - 25 countries, and in 2013 - 26 countries.

The deputy minister added that today in Azerbaijan 24 athletes unjustly faced with the problem of doping: "Why should the athletes lost their many years of work? Why the agency commits injustice against them? How can you compare the ozone therapy with reception doping? They check the blood and as a result of high rates of hemoglobin, declare that the athlete takes doping. These problems arise from the fact that the doping issues serve the personal interests. Transparent fight against doping is not available."
