International Olympic Committee suspends financing of "SportAccord"

Baku. 8 June. REPORT.AZ/ The International Olympic Committee (IOC) suspended financing of "SportAccord", which includes Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations. 

Report informs, the press release of IOC declares.

The official statement reads: "Like several members, we also suspend the recognition of "SportAccord", as well as, the financing until problems are solved. We will wait for the results of the consultations and invite respective members to discuss this issue."

IOC is ready to assist directly in fighting against doping, corruption and match-fixing.

Recently, the head of "SportAccord" Marius Vizer announced his resignation after the conflict with IOC President, Thomas Bach.
