International Fencing Federation named president without election

Baku. 28 November. REPORT.AZ/ Alisher Usmanov re-elected President of the International Fencing Federation (FIE) for another four-year term.
Report informs, A. Usmanov was the only candidate for presidency in the elections that took place in Moscow in the framework of the Congress organization. According to the regulations, if the post claims one candidate, the vote shall be held. He was re-elected by consensus of all delegates.
Notably, Alisher Usmanov is a president of the International Fencing Federation since 2008. The Russian businessman is a member of the country's Independent Anti-doping Commission and has a stake in English football club Arsenal.
