The current situation is a challenge for us, said Greg Maffei, CEO of Liberty Media Corporation.
According to Maffei, no stage of the world championship will take place in worst-case scenario.
“We are reviewing various options. Fifteen or eighteen Grand Prix may or may not take place. It is possible to hold the races with no live audience,” Liberty Media president said.
The start of the F1 2020 season has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Earlier, the Formula 1 management also delayed the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Vietnam, China, the Netherlands, Spain, and Canada and canceled the rounds of Australian and Monaco Grand Prix. The Azerbaijani Grand Prix was scheduled for June 5-7.
