FIG President: Everyone is satisfied with competitions held by Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation

Baku. 1 May. REPORT.AZ/ "I highly appreciate current development of gymnastics in Azerbaijan. I am confident that Azerbaijan will be represented in Tokyo 2020 Olympics in artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline gymnastics".

Report informs, International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) President Morinari Watanabe told reporters. 

The Japanese functionary said that the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has a great experience in hosting international competitions: "Baku has also hosted World Cup competitions in previous years. Every time we see innovations. All participants are always satisfied with. The Federation's Secretary General Farid Gayibov is my fellow. I know him well and aware of his activities. I'd like to wish F.Gayibov success".

M.Watanabe announced intention on innovations in types of gymnastics. The plan includes attraction of more media representatives and fans to the contests.

Notably, today, FIG President awarded Doctor Honoris Causa of the Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport.
