​European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship kicks off in Baku

The 35th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship starts in Baku today.

Report informs that athletes from 35 countries will compete in the 4-day competition. At the championship, adult athletes will perform in the individual program, while young teams will compete in group exercises. In competitions, adults will compete in individual exercises, while teenagers – group exercises.

On the first day of the tournament to be held at the National Gymnastics Arena, teenage teams will perform with group exercises. On May 17, only adult gymnasts will compete on the carpet . On the 3rd day of the championship the names of the winners will be determined in the team account (on the basis of common points of adult and teenager teams) and in multi-team competitions of group teams.

Zohra Agamirova and Veronica Judis, in the teen competition teams Nazrin Jafarzade, Eleanora Yusifova, Lyaman Alimuradova, Farida Safiyarzade, Madina Asadova, Seljan Hajizade and Milana Akparova will represent Azerbaijan on the European championship to be held in Baku for the fourth time .
