Baku Olympic Stadium hosts inauguration of Olympic Professional Fight Club

Baku. 3 November. REPORT.AZ/ Opening ceremony of the Olympic Professional Fight Club was held today at the Baku Olympic Stadium (BOS).

Report informs, the event was attended by President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic Rovnag Abdullayev, Vice President of the company for Social Affairs Badal Badalov, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov, Head of Sport Department Farid Mansurov, President of Azerbaijan Kickboxing Federation, lawmaker Adil Aliyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan Judo Federation Sadig Sadigov, BOS Director Javid Garayev, President of the "Olympic" Professional Fight Club Eldar Ismayilov and others.

Cutting symbolic ribbon of the hall, R. Abdullayev said that BOS serving not only to football, but also to other types of sports is an instruction by President Ilham Aliyev: "Today is a gratifying day. After commissioning of the BOS, Mr. President put forth us a task that this facility will not serve only to football, but also to other types of sports. It is joyful that thousands of young people come here. I am confident that the BOS and halls here will make a great contribution to our sport".

A. Aliyev thanked everyone for taking part in the opening the hall for their support: "Azerbaijan is a sporting country and has proved that. President Ilham Aliyev has a special attention and care towards this area. Also, we should not forget the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the federations. Our athletes could demonstrate their skills today. Great work is also done in the Judo Federation, it is one of the leading federations. We are proud of the achievements".

Following the speeches, E. Ismayilov has awarded special diplomas to Rovnag Abdullayev, Ismayil Ismayilov, Adil Aliyev, Sadig Sadigov, Javid Garayev, Badal Badalov, as well as to the President of the Azerbaijan Wushu Federation Azer Hasansoy and head coach of the Olympic Professional Fight Club Jeyhun Abbasov.

A cake was cut at the end of the event.
