Baku. 5 February. REPORT.AZ/ Baku moved up two more places in the list of 50 best sports cities in 2019.
Report informs that ranking was compiled by the global communications agency Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW). According to the table, the capital of Azerbaijan is on the 38th place. Baku ranked 41st in 2017, while 40th in 2018.
London, capital of Great Britain again ranks first. Los Angeles city of US, where 2028 Summer Olympics and Paralympic to be held is on the second place, while Paris (France), the hosting city of 2024 Olympics ranks third. Tokyo (Japan), which will host the 2020 Olympics, is on the 4th place, moving on 1 point in comparison with the previous year.
Notably, the list was compiled on the basis of the international federations and sports press reviews. In this case, it is paid attention tofrequency of "sports" word used on social networks, blogs and websites. In the previous years, the results were based on a survey held among selected experts and the broad public.
