Azerbaijani weightlifter wins European gold

Azerbaijani weightlifter Ravin Almammadov won the gold medal at the 2022 European Youth & U15 Championships held in Raszyn, Poland, Report informs.

The athlete, who performed in the weight class of 67 kg, lifted 126 kg in snatch and 158 kg in clean and jerk.

Almammadov, who showed a total of 284 kg (126+158), won a gold medal in the final ranking, surpassing all his opponents.

With this result, he set a new European junior record.
