Azerbaijani national boxing team return home

Baku. 4 September. REPORT.AZ/ The Azerbaijani national team grabbing 1 gold and 1 bronze at the World Boxing Championship in Germany’s Hamburg, returned to the motherland.

Report informs, representatives of the sport community and boxing lovers welcomed with ovation the national team at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Answering reporters’ question, 3-time Olympic champion Magomedrasul Majidov (+91 kg) noted that he is proud of winning the third medal on behalf of Azerbaijan: “It is a very pleasant and beautiful feeling. Definitely, my fights, especially the final, were not easy. However, I was very well prepared. I should also mention the support of the coaches and administration. I have claimed victory with the help of all these nuances.”
