Azerbaijani honored sport figure dies

Baku. 27 November.REPORT.AZ/ The honored sport figure of Azerbaijan Arif Gafarov passed away.

Report informs, he died at age of 69. 

Gafarov worked as the director of Baku Gymnastics School in 1989-2013. He was elected a member of Executive Committee of Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) in 2002, 2006 and 2010. 

As a trainer he has played a great role in forming the acrobatics traditions in Azerbaijan. Gafarov was awarded with titles of honored master of sports, merited trainer and honored sport figure.

The AGF has awarded him with a gold medal in 2015.
