Baku. 4 March. REPORT. AZ / Azerbaijani runner Hayle Ibrahimov reached the final of the European Championship in Belgrade, Serbia.

Report informs, 27-year-old athlete qualified for the final stage in 3000-meter race. With result of 7 minutes 57.74 seconds in semi-final he became the first among 12 participants.

Apart from Ibragimov, Turkish Aras Kara (7: 58,61), the German Richard Ringer (7: 58.77), Spaniard Adel Mechaal (7: 58,94) and Italian Yemaneberhan Crippa (7: 59,76) have stepped forward

From another subgroup, Swede Jonas Leandersson (7: 5493), Italian Marouan Razine (7: 5517), Norwegian Henrik Ingebrigtsen (7: 55.26), Spaniard Carlos Mayo (7: 5558), Turkish Ali Kaya ( 7: 56,36), Austrian Andreas Vojta (7: 56,52) and Ramadan Ozdemir (7: 59,35) have reached final.

Azerbaijan's representative said to official website of tournament: "It was an early stage. I had a good run. But I keep my energy for the decisive stage".

The final stage starts on March 5 at 19:55 Baku time.
