Azerbaijan women's wrestling team squad for World Cup named

Baku. 16 August. REPORT.AZ/ The Azerbaijani women's wrestling team has announced its squad for the World Cup to be held in Paris, France.Report was told in press service of Federation, seven wrestlers will go to the mundial.

Turkan Nasirova (48 kg), Leyla Gurbanova (53 kg), Nataliya Sinişin (55 kg), Irina Netreba (58 kg), Tatyana Omelchenko (60 kg), Elmira Gambarova (63 kg) and Elis Manolova (69 kg) will compete under the leadership of senior coach Aslan Agayev and coach Rovshan Umudov. Wrestlers continue their preparations together with the Ukrainian national team from 7th August in the Koncha Zaspa training camp in Kyiv.

The training session will last till August 21st.

The squad of the freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling teams has been announced yesterday.

Notably, first of all Greco-Roman wrestlers will compete in the 71 kg, 75 kg, 85 kg and 98 kg weight categories at the world championship. Greco-Roman wrestlers in 59 kg, 66 kg, 80 kg and 130 kg will compete on August 22, women's wrestlers will compete in 55 kg, 58 kg, 63 kg and 75 kg on 23 August. On the fourth day of the competitions, 48 kg, 53 kg, 60 kg and 69 kg athletes will wrestle. The freestyle wrestlers in 57 kg, 61 kg, 86 kg and 125 kg will compete on August 25. On the last day of the championship 65 kg, 70 kg, 74 kg and 97 kg athletes will compete in freestyle wrestling.

Azerbaijan will be represented by I-S category international referee Hijran Sharifov.
