Azerbaijan's Paralympic athletes claim gold and silver medals

The 2021 World Para Athletics European Championships is underway in Poland.
Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's National Paralympic Committee that Said Najafzade, who joined the competition in the T12 category, has claimed gold in high jumps, showing the result of 6.97 m. Another athlete from Azerbaijan, Hamid Heydarli, category F57, won silver in javelin throwing, bringing the number of medals Azerbaijan gained in the championship to three. Earlier Togrul Humbatov, T11, finished third in long jumps, showing the result of 5.67 m.
