Azerbaijan’s more six judokas to compete in Grand Prix today

Baku. 26 January. REPORT.AZ/ Six Azerbaijani judokas will compete in Tel Aviv Grand Prix 2019 today.

Report informs that these are Mammadali Mehdiyev (90 kg), Tural Safguliyev (90 kg), Elmar Gasimov(100 kg), Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg), Shahin Gahramanov (+100 kg) and Irina Kinderzka (+78 kg).

Mehdiyev and Safguliyev will start from 1/16 final stage. They will respectively compete with Yhlas Setdarov (Turkmenistan) and Aatu Laamanen (Finland).

Gasimov’s first competition will be held at 1/8 final. He will compete with the winner of competition between Luca Kunsabo (Romania) and Isaac Bezzina (Malta).

Gahramanov will compete with Fransisco Solis (Chile) at 1/16 final, Kokauri with the winner of competition between Enej Marinic (Slovenia) and Daniel Natya (Romania) at 1/8 final.

Kinzerska will compete with Laura Fuseau (France) at 1/8 final.

Among 12 Azerbaijani participants, Ibrahim Aliyev (66 kg) and Murad Fatiyev (81 kg) ranked 5th. Rovshan Aliyev, Rashad Yelkiyev (both 60 kg), Orkhan Safarov (66 kg), Aisha Gurbanli, Aliyeva Leyla (both 48 kg), Gultaj Mammadaliyeva, Buyankishig Purevsuren (both 52 kg), Ichinkhorlo Munxtsedev (57 kg), Rustam Orujov, Hidayet Heydarov (both 73 kg) were defeated. 

Prize fund of the tournament is $100,000.
