Baku. 18 September. REPORT.AZ/ The art and sports exhibition dedicated to the world judo championship due in Baku has been arranged.
The event is attended by president of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Marius Vizer, president of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation Rovnag Abdullayev, vice president of the structure Sadiq Sadiqov, former president of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) Patrick Hickey, members of the IJF Executive Committee and other officials.
The works by Monika Gloviczki from Poland, Russia's Yelizaveta Alexandrova, Raymond Poulet from France, Eugen Vasile from Romania, as well as Bahram Baghirzade, Jesar Mammadov, Rahib Garayev, Zamiq Rzayev and Aynur Sakitqizi from Azerbaijan were exhibited.
Speaking at the event Vizer welcomed the guests and introduced the art figures whose compositions were exhibited. The head of the structure voiced confidence that the world judo championship will be organized on a high level.
In his turn, Rovnag Abdullayev noted that judo and art constitute a very good unity: "Welcome to all of you. Today the works of prominent art figures are exhibited. Here we see the unity of judo family and the world of art. Judo is also an art, a philosophy. The unity of these two arts looks very good. Along with Azerbaijani judo, I would like you to familiarize with the Azerbaijani art."
Notably, the world judo championship will be held at the National Gymnastics Arena on September 20-27.
