Another Azerbaijani weightlifter disqualified for 4 years

Baku. 24 December. REPORT.AZ/ Another weightlifter of Azerbaijan Azer Mammadli, 23 (+105 kg) who failed doping test was disqualified for 4 years.

Report informs referring to the official website of the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF).

Mammadli proved positive for etiocholanolone substanc and his penalty entered into force on 17 July 2018.

IWF said that Azerbaijan's three weightlifters - Azer Mammadli, Elmar Aliyev and Huseyn Ismayilov failed their doping test this year. The penalty period of two more athletes has not been declared yet.

Notably, IWF has announced that Anastasiya Ibrahimli, the winner of "Baku 2017" IV Islamic Solidarity Games, was disqualified for 4 years.
