AMADA chief elected deputy chairperson of Council of Europe working group

Director of the Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency  (AMADA) Shafag Huseyli has been elected deputy chair of the special working group of the Council of Europe 'Human rights and athletes'.

Report informs citing the Agency that the decision was adopted at the 50th session of the monitoring group on anti-doping convention of the Council of Europe in the Romanian capital, Bucharest.

The group 'Human rights and athletes' includes a chairperson, a deputy chair and members from among representatives of eight countries.

Huseynli also attended the 46th session of the Ad Hoc European Committee (CAHAMA). One of the key issues discussed at the meeting was the preparations for the elections of the next president of WADA in Canadian Montreal scheduled for May 14.

The Council of Europe anti-doping convention was adopted in 1989. Azerbaijan signed the document in 2002.
