Woman missing during Kalbajar occupation laid to rest after 33 years

The remains of Madina Babayeva, who went missing during the occupation of Azerbaijan's Kalbajar district in 1993, have been buried in her native village more than three decades later.
According to Report's Karabakh bureau, Babayeva Madina Rahim gizi (born in 1905), was laid to rest at the cemetery in the village of Dashbulag, Kalbajar district.
The funeral ceremony was attended by her relatives, local residents, families of martyrs, veterans, representatives of state bodies, and members of the public. Prayers were said for the repose of her soul.
Babayeva went missing on March 31, 1993, during the occupation of Dashbulag village. Her remains were later discovered after the Patriotic War and returned to her family following identification.
