State Security Service's operation neutralizes 4 terrorists

Baku. 1 February. REPORT.AZ/ The State Security Service (SSS) received information on terrorist plans of group of persons subordinating to terrorist organization operating beyond Azerbaijani border. Brutal plan of terrorists within the country, who acquired explosives, weapons and ammunition has been confirmed after investigation carried out by SSS, who launched urgent operation.

Report was informed in SSS public relation department, that the State Service on January 31, 2017 held special operation to arrest citizens of the Azerbaijan Republic - M.Ulubayov (nickname – Abu Hafsa), G.Damirov (Abdulgarib), F.Sadigov (Abdulkhalig), T.Almammadov and S.Mammadov (Abdullah), accused of preparation of serious crimes with extreme religious motivation. During operation members of the group – M.Ulubayov, T.Almammadov, G.Damirov and S.Mammadov opened fire from automatic guns on security forces. Special operation team took responsive steps using weapons. As a result, above-mentioned persons were killed. F.Sadigov was arrested as suspect.
