Prosecutor General's Office: Criminal case was launched on Armenia's provocation on the border

Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office released information on the provocation committed by Armenia on the border, Report informs.

"On November 16, on the instructions of the Armenian military-political leadership, the Armenian armed forces fired on positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts, using artillery of different caliber, in violation of the terms of the Tripartite Declaration signed on November 10, 2020, as well as fundamental norms and principles of international law.

As a result of measures taken by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, the provocation committed by Armenia on the state border was prevented.

However, we express our deep regret that as a result of the provocation, 7 of Azerbaijani servicemen were martyred, and 10 were injured.

The names of martyred servicemen:

1) Aliyev Natig Yusif;
2) Niftaliyev Umud Oruj;
3) Jabbarov Orkhan Hatam;
4) Aghayev Elchin Marifat;
5) Khalilov Murad Galib;
6) Aliyev Elchin Ramil;
7) Alizade Elmin Samir.

In connection with the abovementioned facts, the Military Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case under relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
