The order "On pardoning a number of convicts" signed by President Ilham Aliyev on May 27 has been implemented, Report informs.
The pardoned prisoners have been released from the facilities of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
A total of 213 people were pardoned.
Thus, 168 people sentenced to imprisonment were relieved from the unserved part of their sentences, and the unserved part of the sentences of 36 people was reduced by half.
Also, three people sentenced to probation were released from prison.
