Iranian drivers illegally crossing from Armenia to Azerbaijan detained

"Officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Committee, and the State Border Service identified and detained cars crossing the territory of Azerbaijan illegally to transport goods from Armenia," the spokesman of the Interior Ministry, police colonel Ehsan Zahidov told Report.

According to him, appropriate measures will be taken against the drivers of these cars under the laws of Azerbaijan.

Armenian media spread reports that two Iranian drivers carrying goods to Khankandi were detained by Azerbaijani police at a checkpoint on the Gorus-Gafan road.
