Interior Ministry: "Allegations of Tofig Yagublu's beating in police unit to be probed"

There are no women or minors among the detainees in today's uncoordinated protest in the city center.

In response to a query from Report, Interior Ministry Spokesperson Major Elshad Hajiyev said that some of the detainees were warned and released, while others are under investigation.

In response to the allegations that (opposition activist) Tofig Yagublu was injured by police, the spokesperson added that the allegations that he was beaten in the police unit and subjected to special pressure were unfounded. However, despite all this, the allegations will be properly investigated.
