Tbilisi. 15 January . REPORT.AZ/ Fight against seasonal influenza in Georgia will cost about GEL 10 mln ($ 3.7 mln) to the government.

Georgian Bureau of Report News Agency informs that  Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Health, Labour and Social Affairs of Georgia David Sergeenko said additional GEL 1 mln will be used to provide population with Tamiflu: "Nearly GEL 700,000 will be directed to vaccination."

According to the minister, a decline in flu incidence was recorded in the past two weeks: "We continue our efforts despite the ongoing decline. As some hospitals have shifted to 24-hour working mode, it has a major impact on reducing the number of infections."

Notably, swine flu A (H1N1) virus has already killed 17 people across Georgia.
