A fire broke out in an open area on the border with Armenia in the Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak region of Nakhchivan, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The units of the Sadarak District Fire Protection Department were immediately deployed to the area in connection with the fire caused by Armenia.
Thanks to the operational measures taken by firefighters in accordance with the operational conditions, the fire was extinguished in a short time, preventing it from spreading to a wider area.
As a result of the fire, approximately 7 hectares of dry grass and reeds burned. The surrounding areas were protected from fire.
