Expert: Pyrotechnics pose a substantial threat to human health and the environment

Different pyrotechnics, fireworks and other explosives can be seen on sale. The State Customs Committee prevents the import of such products into the country and regularly informs about the work done. It would be helpful to know if the use of pyrotechnics is allowed in the country. Are they dangerous for human health?

Security expert Elmar Nuraliyev told Report that the reason for the sale of pyrotechnics is the increased demand before holidays: "The dealers know that people buy them for entertainment to give more mirth to the holiday, and in this way, they want to raise their earnings. That is why such products are illegally imported into the country. In general, the law prohibits the use of pyrotechnics for civilian purposes, their sale, and import into the country.  According to him, pyrotechnics contain substances harmful to human health: "These products pose a substantial threat to the environment.

First, no one can know their quality for sure due to the ban on the import of pyrotechnics into the country. The volume of explosive substances in the product may exceed the norm, and, as a result, a man may suffer burns in his face, hands, and feet. The gunpowder available in pyrotechnics can ignite even from the slightest spark, even from the sun's rays."
