Elchin Guliyev visits territory of incident on Iranian-Azerbaijani border

Baku. 21 June. REPORT.AZ/ An attempt was made  to violate state border on June 21, at 02:45, near Baykhanli village in Jalilabad district of Goytapa Border Guard of the State Border Service. 

Report was told in SBS, the movement of the armed forces in the direction from Islamic Republic of Iran to Azerbaijan was detected and prevented by the border guards.

Trespassers who did not subject to legitimate requirement and fire of border guards used arms against boder guards. During the incident, soldier Kurupov Ramazan Mammad from the Balakan region, who was the leader of the border guard, received wounds from the chest, arms and legs. Trespassers who failed to violate state border escaped.

The soldier R.Kurupov was immediately evacuated to the Central Hospital of Jalilabad after the initial medical aid by other border guards. The soldier was immediately operated by the doctors of the hospital and SBS who were assigned to Jalillabad district due to the incident.

Head of the State Border Service, general-colonel Elchin Guliyev and other senior officials visited the territory immediately after the incident, inspected the incident place and gave necessary instructions to continue the search operations.
