Court trial on case of former Foreign Ministry officials starts

The Baku Court of Grave Crimes has started a preliminary hearing on the criminal case of Farhad Mollazade, former department head at the Foreign Ministry, and Salim Alizade, an official of the Consular Department.

According to Report, the profiles of the accused persons were clarified at the trial chaired by Judge Afgan Hajiyev.

The court hearing is scheduled for August 11.

Notably, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also recognized as a victim in the case.

The former Foreign Ministry employees were detained in connection with a criminal case in the State Security Service (SSS). The operation revealed reasonable suspicions that Farhad Mollazade and Salim Alizade had committed numerous illegal acts.
