Baku. 14 December. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijani living in Switzerland was cremated despite his will to bury him in Nakhchivan where he was born.

Report informs 97-year-old Swiss citizen Haji Jafarov passed away in Basel Hospital where he was undertaking treatment. Before his death he made a will to bury him next to the graves of his parents in Azerbaijan. Despite the efforts of Turkish Community in Switzerland and relatives of the late, his son Retto Jafarov did not allow to send corpse of his father to Azerbaijan. He decided to cremate his father’s corpse. Haji Jafarov was born in Nakhchivan in 1920. 67 years ago he was captured by German fascists during World War II (1941-1945) and lived in Switzerland since then. He married Swiss woman and had one daughter and one son.
