Azerbaijan releases football players of Armenian origin who served their sentences

After the expiration of the administrative arrest, three football players of Armenian origin were released in Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Prosecutor General's Office of Azerbaijan.

“Since the sentence of these persons expired today, they were released and, accompanied by employees of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Their passage through the Lachin checkpoint to the Republic of Armenia was ensured in accordance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the Prosecutor General’s Office said in a statement.
