Attempt to smuggle a large batch of caviar and drugs to Azerbaijan prevented

Baku. 3 November. REPORT.AZ/ Staff General Administration of Customs on air transport prevented an attempt to smuggle a large batch of caviar into the country.

Report was told in press service of the State Customs Committee.

According to the information customs inspection of hand luggage of Azerbaijani citizen Mahmudzadeh Huseyn Nazim oglu was made from the X-ray machine arrived on a flight from Moscow to Baku Azerbaijani. On examination, customs officers seen on the monitor packed product similar to caviar in containers. Then bag was checked and 40 packages of various sizes with black and red caviar were found.

The committee said that according to the Center Of Judicial Examination Of The Ministry Of Justice there were baggage with 19 kg of 210 g black, 0.995 kg of red caviar. The total weight of sturgeon caviar was 20 kg 205 g

Department officers also found about 72 grams of psychotropic substances.
