During the interrogation, Rashid Beglaryan, who is accused of committing the crimes, informed about his participation in the Khojaly tragedy in February 1992 and said that on February 25, 1992, the Armenian armed forces and illegal Armenian armed detachments operating under them moved from the city of Khankandi to the city of Khojaly, where there was a dense population of civilians.
