According to the Main State Traffic Police Department, 806 people were called to administrative responsibility under Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan for breaching the special quarantine regime applied to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection, from 00:00 on 28.04.2020 to 00:00 on 29.04.2020.

Report says, citing the State Department, 43,177 drivers have been fined for violating the special quarantine regime on the roads from 01.04.2020 to date.

Since March 29, Azerbaijan has strengthened a special quarantine regime. During the quarantine, inter-district and inter-city traffic stopped completely, except for special-purpose vehicles, including ambulance, emergency, rescue, agricultural, social service cars, as well as trucks.

There are no restrictions in traffic within Baku, Sumgait, and Absheron districts.
