4 well-known people and 5 foreigners released from prison No. 16

Baku. 25 May. REPORT.AZ/ The decree of the President Ilham Aliyev on Pardoning a Group of Convicted Persons was executed in Prison No. 16 of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry.

Report informs, Colonel of Justice, deputy head of the Penitentiary Service Maharram Gafarov, Head of Penitentiary No. 16 Lieutenant-Colonel Shahin Hasanov and representative of the Ministry of Justice attended the event.

M. Gafarov wished success to the pardoned people in their future lives.

Later, 17 people were released from prison. Five foreigners were also released from Prison No. 16. These are citizen of the Republic of Cameroon Hongla Samuel, citizens of the Republic of Turkey - Mert Küçük, Bayram Akyel, Citizen of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Sedigi Khvaja Shekib and citizen of Bangladesh, Uddin Mohammad Baharun.

In addition, those arrested over Nardaran events - Hilal Jabbarov, Aliaga Gasimov, Alakbar Gurbanov and David Karimov, who was arrested during “hijab action” were released.

Notably, the decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev was applied to 634 people.
