1,569 people fined for violating quarantine regime

Azerbaijan is strengthened a special quarantine regime from 00:00 (local time) on March 29.

During the special quarantine regime, inter-district and inter-city traffic will stop completely, except for special-purpose vehicles, including ambulance, emergency, rescue, agricultural, social service cars, as well as trucks.

Main Traffic Police Department has released a statement on the work done during the period from 00:00 to 07.04.2020 to 00:00 on 08.04.2020 in connection with the special quarantine regime declared in the territory of the country.

Report says, citing the Department State Traffic Police, 1,569 people driving on the roads of the country from 07:00 on April 7, 2020, to 00:00 on April 8, 2020, were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan. They violated the special quarantine regime applied to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

In general, from April 1, 2020 to date, 8,514 drivers have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating the special quarantine regime.
