Telephone and internet fees will be paid online in Azerbaijan

Baku. 19 January. REPORT.AZ/ Users of telephone and internet services will be able to pay their monthly fees at post and telecommunication offices, via internet and payment terminals. Ministry of Communication and High Technologies (MCHT) introduces above rules to stimulate demand for non-cash transactions and diminishing cash-based economy.

Information says postal offices are eligible to render banking services according to law on “Non-cash transactions”.

At initial stage this process will cover Baku, later all regions of the republic. Citizens can come to telecommunication hubs in Baku and make cash or non-cash (with their bank cards via POS terminals) payments.

Notably, in “Şəbəkə” (Network) service centers to be launched in coming days all services of MCHT will be provided from single center. Communication and postal services, as well as payment facilities, including self-service terminals will be available in these centers. First “Şəbəkə” (Network) service center will be launched in postal branch No 1 at Uzeyir Hajibeyov 36.

The ministry plans to introduce “Şəbəkə” (Network) in all regions of the country in the future.
