Number of IT specialists invited from Russia to Azerbaijan announced

Over 300 IT specialists from Russia were invited to Azerbaijan, Inara Valiyeva, deputy head of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, said at the press conference dedicated to the end of the year.

According to her, since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war, Russian IT specialists have been invited to the country: "They started working in Azerbaijan. Currently, conditions have been created on the territory of the Athletes' Village, as the houses are used for IT specialists from Russia.

The deputy head said that negotiations are underway with 5 Russian companies, and 45 employees have already moved to Azerbaijan: "One of these companies intends to open an official representative office in the country.”
