Minister of Economy and Industry met with Minister of Communication and Information Technology of Iran

Baku. 2 December. The Minister of Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev met with the Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology Mahmud Vaezi, visiting Baku to take part in "BakuTel-2014" Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies Exhibition. Report informsciting the information given by the Ministry, current state of economic relations between the two countries, the work done, as well as the prospects for cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

The Minister of Economy and Industry, co-chairman of the State Commission on economic, trade and humanitarian cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran Shahin Mustafayev highlighted the high level of political, economic and humanitarian relations between the two countries, as well as increase of mutual visits of officials and businessmen, and expressed his satisfaction with Mahmud Vaezi's next visit to the country. During the meeting, the importance of such visits and meetings in the development of Azerbaijan-Iran relations was stressed.

The minister of communication and information technology of Iran  Mahmud Vaezi hailed the expansion of the relation between the two countries, and noted the  great potential for further development of cooperation.
During the meeting, the work done in accordance with the agreement reached at the 9th meeting of the State Commission for cooperation between  Azerbaijan and  Iran in economic, trade and humanitarian spheres held on August in Baku was discussed, and it was pointed out that significant progress has been achieved in a number of fields.
Furthermore, they discussed the expansion of ties between businessmen, the development of cooperation in the fields of industry, agriculture, veterinary medicine, energy, alternative energy, and transport at the meeting.
