Cyberattacks on Azerbaijani state institutions down 9%

In January–June 2026, 457 cyberattack indicators of compromise (IOCs) targeting Azerbaijani state institutions were identified.

According to Report, based on data from the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security, this figure is 9% lower compared to the same period in 2025.

Of the detected cyber threats, 306 were uncovered through internal investigations, while 156 were identified and blocked following incident reports from government agencies.

In June alone, 38 cyberattacks were recorded – a 25% decrease year‑on‑year.

Meanwhile, in 2025, a total of 850 cyberattacks were registered against state institutions in Azerbaijan, 372 of which were detected internally and 478 through incident investigations submitted by government bodies.
