Blockchain technology to be applied in Azerbaijani customs' information sharing system

‘Pilot transportations will be carried out via full blockchain technologies jointly with one of the local export companies in 2020,’ Chairman of the State Customs Committee (SCC) Sefer Mehdiyev told Report.
According to him, all participants of the supply chain will be able to send information to one another through ‘Hyperledger’ blockchain and confirm them.
He also noted that the SCC offered to share documents required for customs procedures in GUAM countries via blockchain technology: ‘At the same time, sharing of information with Georgia via blockchain was applied in the pilot program through two different platforms. Information testing of sharing on ‘Etherium’ and ‘Hyperledger’ platforms have been completed successfully.’
