Azercosmos, an agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan, and the American company Voyager Space have signed a memorandum of cooperation that will allow them to exchange experience and knowledge to develop the local space ecosystem.
Report informs citing the ministry that the agreement will expand the opportunities for cooperation between the parties in the creation of space infrastructure, scientific centers, implementation of research programs, development and implementation of technologies and innovations.
"Strengthening the local space ecosystem together with global partners such as Voyager Space is one of our main missions," Samaddin Asadov, Chairman of the Board of Azercosmos, said.
In turn, Voyager Space Chief Revenue Officer Clay Mowry noted that space technology and science can change societies. "We are happy to help create an innovative space regional hub in Azerbaijan. We are looking forward to creating a sustainable space ecosystem in the region," he said, adding that space technologies can change societies.
The memorandum was signed within the framework of the 73rd International Astronautical Congress in the capital of France.
